Virgo season is the season of wheat. It’s the time of the harvest, when all the grain is plucked from the ground and transformed into the flour we use for our daily bread. And one of my favorite breads to make is Piroshky Dough. Made easy in a bread machine, and suitable for making little pockets of Eastern European Love, here I’ve decided to use Piroshky Dough as the basis for the simple Perfectly Virgo Cheddar Garlic Knots.
Virgo energy is the energy of a detail-oriented perfectionist. They like to cross all the t’s, dot all the i’s and break down processess into all their little parts to analyze their structure, functionality and viability. It’s the sign of the helping profesctions. It helps others by providing the service of analysis, and is often related to psychotherapists and counselors. And while these Perfectly Virgo Cheddar Garlic Knots won’t turn you into the next Sigmund Freud, they may help you work with intentions around finding solutions through anaylizing and diagnosing the problems that need to be addressed, especially when eaten during a Virgo Moon. Plus, they’re just a great side dish or snack.
These Cheddar Garlic Knots are made in three stages. First, you place the dough in the bread machine. Second, you roll out the dough into a rectangle and top it with butter, garlic, cheddar and marjoram. Third, you roll it up into a snake, then cut it into 1 1/2 inch rolls. Finally, you bake them up.
So without further ado, here’s the recipe for Perfectly Virgo Cheddar Garlic Knots:
